Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000
- Hutcheon Examination Services Ltd carries out statutory Engineering examinations to comply with PSSR. These are generally minor systems of installed compressed air. Once the system size is above 250 bar/litres a written scheme is required, which Hutcheon Examination Services Ltd can provide.
- To aid the inspection of pressure vessels, specialist equipment is used.
- A calibrated ultra-sonic thickness meter is used to check the pressure vessel wall thickness for areas reduced by corrosion.
- A calibrated pressure tester is used to check the accuracy of gauge's and the lift pressure of safety relief valves.
- To aid restricted internal vision, a Fibrescope is used.
